Cozy Up with a Mug of Pumpkin Spice Latte

As the days get shorter and colder, and sometimes windy, stay inside and cozy up with a mug of Pumpkin Spice Latte.

   

Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe


Ingredients


  • 1 cup milk or milk alternative such as almond milk

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree

  • 1 teaspoon ghee (clarified butter)

  • 1 teaspoon of Pumpkin Spice (or make your own with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg and a pinch of ground cloves)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Sweetener of your choice


Directions

Hand blender mixing milk, pumpkin puree, ghee, and spices in a silver pot on a wooden surface. Creamy, warm colors convey a cozy mood.

  • Heat the milk in a pot over low heat until it almost simmers.

  • Remove from the heat and add in the remining ingredients.

  • With an immersion blender, blend on a high speed until it’s smooth. (If you don’t’ have an immersion blender, transfer milk to a blender, add in the other ingredients, and blend on high until the drink is smooth.)

  • Pour into your favorite mug and sprinkle with more pumpkin spice or add a cinnamon stick. You could also add a dollop of whipped cream.
