Explore Yoga Classes and Therapeutic Yoga with
Jeannine Love

Whether you’re completely new to yoga or returning after many years, my classes are thoughtfully designed with seniors in mind. Each session focuses on gentle movement, improved balance, flexibility, and mindful breathing — all at a comfortable pace that honors your body and your unique needs.

I offer specialized classes such as Chair Yoga, Gentle Flow Yoga, and Yin Yoga, each adapted to support joint health, mobility, and overall well-being. Every movement can be modified, making the practice safe, accessible, and enjoyable for all ability levels. During the summer months, you’re also invited to join our Yoga in the Park sessions, where we practice in a peaceful outdoor setting. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fresh air, connect with nature, and build meaningful community. I also offer private Therapeutic Yoga sessions for those with a chronic condition, limited mobility, illness or injury, who need special attention.

My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive environment where you can feel confident, cared for, and empowered. Together, we’ll work toward better balance, greater strength and flexibility, reduced stiffness, and a deep sense of relaxation. It’s never too late to begin. Come experience how yoga can help you stay active, independent, and thriving.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a great complement to other styles of yoga, such as Vinyasa and Hatha, as well as other forms of exercise. Exercise creates heat in the body, thereby targeting and opening the larger muscle groups; Yin Yoga, however, focuses on stillness, and targets the deeper connective tissues of the body (joints, ligaments, and fascia), as well as the energetic centers and pathways. We hold poses for extended periods (3-5 minutes or more), using our body’s weight and gravity to get into these deeper levels of the body. There are no standing poses; we stay close to the ground. Class is held on Tuesdays from 6-7pm MT on Zoom. You'll need yoga props, such as a bolster, blocks, and blankets; but you can use pillows in place of a bolster, books for blocks, and towels for blankets. Classes are donation-based.

Chair Yoga

I'm teaching a Chair Yoga class at a local yoga studio: Yoga 4/1, 10200 Golf Course Road, NW, Suite B in Albuquerque, NM. It's a 45-minute class, and we meet every Friday from 11:30am - 12:15pm.

Chair Yoga is for anyone, but especially those with balance issues, range of motion limitations, or those who can't get down on the floor. If you’re recovering from an injury, are new to yoga, or looking for a gentler yoga class, give this a try. We use a chair for support as we explore movements that improve strength, flexibility, and balance.

Yoga 4/1 studio has been approved as a SilverSneakers participating fitness facility. So, bring your card or member number when checking in for class.

Gentle Flow Yoga

A virtual 60-min. gentle, flowing yoga class. In this class, the movements are fluid, yet slow and gentle, so it's ideal for those with a chronic condition; but everyone can benefit from this class. In this class, we work on improving flexibility and balance, as well as building strength. If needed, you may use yoga props to support yourself in the poses.  Class runs every Friday at 8:00 am MT. Classes are donation-based. No class Friday 5/1.
