Shea butter comes from Africa, and is traditionally used by Africa drummers to moisturize and heal their hands. It has anti-inflammatory, emollient, and humectant properties, so it soothes irritated, inflamed skin, and preserves moisture.
If you’re a drummer, gardener, mechanic, or someone who washes their hands a lot, then you know how dried-out and rough your hands can get.
