Fennel for Healthy Digestion

Whether you suffer from acid reflux, lots of burping, or nausea, try some fennel seeds. Fennel seeds improve your digestive fire, or "agni" by stimulating blood flow to the stomach. Chew on some fennel seeds while you’re preparing your meal; it will prime the digestive system and stimulate hunger.

You can also eat fennel seeds after a meal to facilitate digestion. They can help relieve gas and bloating, especially if you’ve had too much to eat, or if your meal was too spicy.

Fennel is also great for colicky babies. You can make a fennel-infused water and let your baby sip on it; or chew on the seeds if you’re a lactating Mom to help your cranky baby.
