Child's Pose - Balasana

Sitting too much at your computer or not sitting properly? Try Balasana (Child’s Pose). This a gentle asana (pose) for when you need to relax your back. It also helps calm the mind.

From a kneeling position, bring your big toes together and spread knees apart. Sit on heels and bring your torso down to the mat between your thighs. Rest forehead on the mat and reach arms out in front of your body. Relax and breathe. If you can’t reach the ground, put your forehead on a block. You can also place a blanket under your knees to support them.
