Your skin relies on moisture to keep it supple and to retain its elasticity, espcially when recovering from a scar.  This Scar Tissue Salve formula targets the skin and helps in the healing of scar tissue. Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) is a soothing demulcent, anti-inflammatory herb that stimulates cell proliferation and supports wound healing. Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) is rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids and potent phytochemicals that speed wound healing, stimulate new cell growth, build collagen, and accelerate the production of healthy scar tissue after surgery. Lavender (Lavandula) is great for wounds, cuts, and red, irritated skin. Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is an anti-inflammatory, wound-healer that is great for dry, brittle or stressed skin. Shea Butter contains high concentrations of Vitamin A and is a superior moisturizer that is good for wound healing, dry, rough skin and scars.  The essential oils are: Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum), an anti-inflammatory and a cell regenerator that is specific for scar tissue; Blue Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla), which accelerates the healing process; Lavender, an anti-inflammatory wound healer that helps with scars; and Carrot Seed which stimulates cell renewal.  These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
