I wild-craft Mullein Flowers from the Sandia Mountains here in New Mexico.  The flowers and organic garlic are solar-infused in Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Sesame Oil for one month, then strained.  In Ayurveda, our ears are open to the outer world, so they're affected by the elements. Administering warm oil to the ears is called karna pratisaranum and is done daily to support the sense of hearing, and to cleanse and moisturize the ear's tissues.  Mullein Flowers have been used traditionally for ear discomfort, ear congestion associated with colds and allergies, sinus irritations, itchy ears, excess ear wax, and ear pain resulting from ear infections.  Garlic has antimicrobial, antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral properties.  Olive Oil can help break up excessive ear wax, and Sesame Oil is an anti-microbial and can provide relief for dry, itchy ears.   These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. For educational purposes only.  Ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sesame Oil, Wild-crafted Mullein Flowers, Garlic Cloves, and Vitamin E.  Caution:  Don't use if the eardrum has been ruptured.

  • Warm several drops of oil (not in the microwave).  Be sure to test the oil's heat by touching a drop of the warm oil on your inner wrist (like you would to test a baby's bottle).  Tilt your head to one side and apply 1-2 drops of oil in your ear.  Gently massage around the outside of the ear.  Place a cotton ball in the ear; and repeat this for the other ear.
